Hello Everyone!
I thought I would post this AWESOME dessert! Levi says his cheesecake is better, :P but everyone in our family loves it! Kevin brought it to work, and all the guys there loved it too. It doesn't sound like it would be good; I mean, when I first saw it, I was thinking, "Strawberries, marshmallows, vanilla wafers...???" But I wanted to make something new, so I did it anyways, and we all loved it!
Here's the Recipe!
Strawberry Chiffon
The first thing you need to do it thaw your strawberries. I forget to do it every time, and it's a pain to have to thaw them in water.
1/3 cup butter
1 1/2 cup finely crushed vanilla wafers
Melt the butter, and crush the crumbs. mix together in an 11x7 pan, and pat down firmly. I double it for our family, and put it in a 15x11 pan, and it works fine. For you with big families, this might be best if you want leftovers.
1-3 oz. strawberry jello
3/4 cup boiling water
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1-10 oz. pkg. frozen strawberries in syrup, thawed
4 cups miniature marshmallows
1 cup heavy whipping cream, whipped
In a large bowl, dissolve the jello in the water. Stir in the condensed milk and strawberries, undrained. Fold in marshmallows, and whipped cream (remember to whip the cream!) Pour over top of crumbs and chill 2 hours (or maybe a little more if you're doubling it)
Then just cut and enjoy! It's delicious! (btw, the double recipe makes a lot! We have 1/2 a pan left over for the next day. That's what we like, but just so everyone knows, it makes A LOT!!!)
I was planning on putting a picture, but people had already had some before I could take one. :( Sorry! Actually, when Ryan and Kevin saw it, they said it looked like it would be disgusting; really rich, and just yucky! So don't judge it by how it looks (unless you think it looks good! :P)

Yum, sounds delicious!! Um, jello, is it jelly? I've heard it before (it's American, since we don't have such a thing here =D) so I'm thinking it's jelly??? =D
Will have to try it out sometime!
Love,Amz
sounds yummy :) I'll have to make it sometime, thanks for sharing!
by the way, I love the new blog look!

Amy, maybe AmyW already got with you, but jello isn't much like jelly at all. Jell-O actually the name of the most common brand that makes gelatin mixes (they make pudding mixes too) - so jello usually just means gelatin, do you have that where you live?
~Lana
No, she hasn't-yet!
Hm...no we don't have it here. *sigh* South Afrca and USA are soooo different, it's scary! =)
Tnx though!!

Wow! Yeah, it is pretty different over there! Are you sure you don't have gelatin over there? Because if you do, you can just add some strawberry flavoring, and it would be just as good.
Love ya, girl! E-mail me soon! I'm getting kind of bored, even though we are really busy lately. Does that make sense? I mean, I'm busy, but busy with the regular stuff, and that's getting a little boring. Well, we have a dentist appointment tomorrow, so that will be a little out of the ordinary. I just hope I don't have to get any fillings!

Hey cool! i'm gonna have to try this! :D Thanks for posting it Amy!
we'll see if it's as good as Levi's cheesecake was. He brought some to church, and it was pretty good! ;)
God bless, Love ya's!

mmm..sounds very good! I'm not much of a cook I'm afraid, but maybe I can try it sometime... ;)

Hey Hannah (Redmand, Not Heyworth! :P) It's a really simple dessert. The only thing that you could mess up on is making sure the jello is completely melted. I didn't one time, and it was a little liquidy. The water wasn't hot enough. It's really good! And fun to make!
Amy
Hey! I never said it looked disgusting! It both looks and tastes very good. It is a requested dessert for me to bring to the greenhouse... :P :)
I've awarded you the beautiful blog award =D . you can go to my blog and see what you have to do
