Are We Ready?

Hello Everyone!
I hope this finds everyone well!
We've been reading in the Bible from Luke chapter 12. It talks a lot about how we need to be ready for Christ, because we aren't going to know exactly when He is going to come back or when we're going to die. When Jonathan died, it really made me realize how fragile our life on this earth really is! It could be all of a sudden! What if we're not ready? What if we're so absorbed in this life, we just aren't preparing ourselves for the Bridegroom? Luke 12:46 "The Lord... will come at an hour when he (the servant) looketh not for Him, and at an hour that he is not aware..." And then in verse 47 "and that servant, which knew his lord's will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes." Then in verse 48 "....for into whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required..." I think we can all agree that, even just by living in this country where we are free to serve the Lord, we are given much. We have the responsibility to spread God's Word and make sure we are ready for when He comes back. How awful that would be if we are before God on Judgment day and are told the He never knew us! I think we all need to examine ourselves and make sure that we are one of the elect! That we are going to one day, stand before Christ and be able to hear Him say, "Enter in, thou good and faithful servant!"
Just some thoughts I've been having and I thought I would share them with you! Thanks for reading this! Live for HIM!!! Nothing else really matters!

In Christ,
Amy

Hey Amy,
That is so true. We have no idea how devastating it would be if on judgment day we hear God tell us, "I NEVER KNEW YOU" . We defiantly need to examine ourselves to make sure that we will, without a doubt enter the Kingdom of God.

In Christ,
Katie

Oftentimes when bloggers post "spiritiual thoughts", it (a) is either boring, or (b) has some minor incorrect statements. This post contained neither, and was very convicting to read! Thanks for posting it. :)
