Justin Nicholas Wegner!

Hello!
I thought I should make a post about Justin, since it's been awhile since Kevin or Ryan has! I'll just start from the beginning!
Mom went into the doctor at 20 weeks (about 2 weeks after Jonathan died) to get an ultra sound and find out what the baby was. We were with my grandma that day and when we came home, Kevin told us that something was wrong and the baby was probably not going to make it. Mom told us that there wasn't any amniotic fluid, and that meant that the baby's lungs wouldn't form enough for it to live. We were, of course, upset and devastated. So soon after Jonathan died! And this was supposed to be a happy time! We had been looking forward to finding out what the baby was for weeks! And now, they said that it probably wasn't going to make it. Mom and Dad talked to doctors and they all said that the baby would probably only live for a few hours. They said it would take a miracle for it to live and not be suffering it's whole life. Even though they said there was no proven results, Mom was on bed rest until the baby was born. They wanted Mom to go into the hospital to wait until the baby was born (which would probably be at 24-30 weeks) because of other complications, but obviously, with all of us at home, it's not just that easy! She waited for as long as she could without endangering herself or the baby, and went in at about 26 weeks. So we were all alone in the house!! LOL!!! Ryan and Dad were both working, and Kevin was working part time. So Katie, Sarah, Jason and I were at home alone until about 12, then Kevin came home and we were the only ones until about 5:30. We managed!
Anyway, so we would visit Mom on the weekends and sometimes days in between. They still couldn't find out what the baby was! Of course, we were praying so hard that God would be merciful and allow us to have the baby here, and that it would be healthy. And there were many people praying for us and for Justin (even though we didn't know that it was Justin then!) My Dad would visit Mom quite a bit on the weekdays, so we basically were alone for awhile! :D One day, We were all in bed when Dad came home, and didn't know that he even was there! That would happen often, since it took about 1 hr and 20 min to get from the hospital to our house. Anyways, so we were all asleep, and all of a sudden the hall light was turned on and Dad was saying, "Girls! Boys! Everyone needs to wake up!" I was thinking, "Don't tell me he's waking us up to tell us goodnight!" After we were all awake he said, "OK, Mom just had an emergency c-section." We were like, "No!" "When?" Is the baby OK?" "How's Mom?" Dad told us the baby was doing OK, but obviously not the greatest. It was a boy. We were excited, and a little nervous, and praying that the baby would live! He weighed 2 lbs 10 oz. He was 14 3/8 in. A very tiny little thing!
Well, to make this short (since I've made it VERY long!) he now weighs about 10 lbs. and he's about 23 inches. Big boy now! God was merciful to us and defied all the odds! He is ding so well, and besides that horrible episode the other day, he is doing very, very well! He is smiling and talking to us a little, and he's eating plenty! He is just a little joy! He is the center of our life, and we're his slaves!LOL JK!!! But seriously, he makes a peep and all the girls are running to him and picking him up! LOL!! He has quite the life! Very pampered! But after all he's been through, he deserves to be pampered as much as he wants!!!
I want to thank everyone who prayed for him and helped us through this! Bringing us meals, and stuff. Thanks so much!
Wow! This got lengthy! Sorry! If you just skip most of this, I'll understand! I meant this to just be a little thing, telling you how Justin was, but... ;) LOL

In Christ,
Amy
